Whoops! Missed this post from October (10/30/2011 – 3 hours)

The pic shows about the best possible “mod” for using the Aventura exhaust. Would be functional, but not very pretty.

Installed the rear engine support tubes today and played around with some exhaust pipes from an amphibious experimental aircraft.

Jan. 9, 2012 – 2 hours (Happy New Year — BUT…this year we FLY!)

Fabricated the upper oil cannister mount and mounted the cannister to the frame. Still have to fabricate a lower mount and clean the cannister up a bit.

More work done on the Pre-Rotator.

12/17/2011 – 2 hours

Worked on the pre-rotator drive gear, installed the mass balance tube and the rudder horn to the H/V stabilizer.

12/15/2011 – 3 hours

Recieved some instructions from Larry and started on the pre-rotator today. Got the main housing drill and deburred and removed the powder coating from the bearing/plate surfaces. Installed the bendix shaft and secured with roll pin. Pressed bearings into end caps and completed bendix/housing/bearing assembly.

New parts from Larry today. Installed the joystick.

November 10, 2011 – 3 hours

Assembled upper and lower radiator mounts. Installed radiator to airframe.

11/04/2011 – 2 hours

Worked on throttle quadrant this evening.

October 27, 2011 – 3 hours

Got the rudder pedals assembled this evening. Attached them to the airframe. Some more parts from Larry came as I finished the pedal installation. Inventoried and studied where the new parts would be used.

October 25-26, 2011 – 4 hours

Horizontal/Vertical Stabilizer arrived. Delivered to garage. Two bolts had to be replaced in the seat installation because of clearance problems (No big deal). Stabilizer uncrated and inspected. Will take a lot of prep to get the stab ready for finish paint. More parts on the way. Hope to get the engine bolted on this weekend.
